Midwest VASCULAR Collaborative

The Midwest Vascular Collaborative (MVC) is a voluntary consortium of all providers of vascular health care and their respective institutions. Established in 2012, the MVC includes an integrated team of vascular surgeons, peripheral interventional cardiologists and vascular interventional radiologists, nurses, hospital systems representatives and clinical research personnel, in the Midwest, dedicated to improving outcomes and advancing the care of patients with vascular disease. The MVC participates in the Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular Quality Initiative® (SVS VQI®), a national network of regional vascular quality improvement groups collecting common core datasets to pool information that will lead to improved patient care. The VQI offers physicians, hospitals, and clinical researchers the power to more efficiently assess outcomes, enhance clinical quality, and improve practice standards. The MVC functions under the auspices of the Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization (SVS PSO), which provides an infrastructure for sharing and analyzing data.
